ISES Invites you to Cincinnati in 2014
Welcome to the official web site for the 2014 annual meeting of ISES. Here, you will find all the information that you need to be convinced to join us—the meeting venue, program registration, and theme. The meeting planning is a work in progress, so we will be adding information as it becomes available. Please check back to see how we are progressing.
The meeting venue will be the historic Cincinnati Hilton Netherland Plaza which is located in heart of the downtown Cincinnati, just a block from the famous Fountain Square and over looking the picturesque Ohio River. Cincinnati is a "diamond in the rough" destination city with a walkable downtown, home to the Bengals and the Reds, and with cultural, nightlife and restaurant opportunities that abound. See for yourself at the Convention and Visitor's Bureau site.
Our Program Committee is comprised of distinguished individuals from academia, government agencies and the private sector in North America, the Pacific Rim and Europe. Please feel free to contact members of the committee or the co-chairs if you have suggestions that will contribute to the success of the meeting.
Our theme is Exposure Science Integration to Protect Ecological Systems, Human Well-Being, and Occupational Health. Our program will foster the integration of exposure science as applied to community, occupational, and ecological health as recommended by the NRC Exposure Science in the 21st Century. We plan to highlight the value that exposure science has brought to the protection of health and the environment and its growing importance in the face of such global threats of population pressure, climate change, nitrogen cycling, water and energy availability. There is much work to be done that requires broad participation, so spread the word to your colleagues.
We look forward to seeing you in Cincinnati,
Lisa Jo Melnyk
